Photographer, London, UK

Edward Webb

Edward began his working life as a photographer for The Independent. Twenty years on, he shoots for magazines, design and advertising agencies, arts organisations, and public art commissions. His work has been exhibited at the Photographers' Gallery in London and is on permanent display in the Palace of Westminster, Guy's Hospital and St Thomas's Hospital. Recently he has completed a series of images for Artinsite for display in public buildings, and his portraits have been included in the D&AD Annual. His photographs have been published in The Independent, The Times, The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, Wallpaper* Magazine, and Oprah Magazine.

His commercial and advertising work has been commissioned by over twenty of the UK's FTSE-100 companies. He has worked closely with law firms, charities, and musicians to create unique and engaging images. He is also a freelance orchestral violinist, so he brings an insider's perspective to photographing classical musicians.

I cut my teeth working for The Independent newspaper, so documentary photography drives me, whether I am shooting landscapes or portraits. I have learned to speak some modern Greek, to keep up with my Greek wife, and on my trips to the Aegean islands I try to show wonderful - but real - moments in the landscape there.
